Winters Awarded Rights to League Membership

The Sochoc Football League continues to expand its footprint, and now it’s planting a flag in the heart of Tennessee with a new ownership group that blends business savvy with football ambition.

John Winters and Trina Winters have officially been awarded league membership rights, becoming the proud owners of the newly formed Slashville Swags. While their team will carry the spirit of Nashville, Tennessee, their battleground will be rooted in the league’s home territory of New Orleans, Louisiana, where all Sochoc games are played in 2026. Once sponsors and investors are solid the league will transfer all teams to their areas "said founder of the league Franklin Thomas Jr".

It’s a unique blueprint, but one that fits the Sochoc mold, where opportunity travels just as much as talent does.

The Winters aren’t stepping into this world empty-handed. As owners of a thriving clothing boutique in the Middle Tennessee area, they’ve built their brand on style, identity, and community presence. Now, they’re stitching that same philosophy into a football franchise. Think of it as fabric meeting football pads, where culture and competition collide under the lights.

Sources around the league say the decision to award them a franchise wasn’t just about business credentials. It was about vision. The Winters bring a forward-thinking approach, one that aligns with Sochoc’s mission to grow beyond regional boundaries and create a national pipeline of opportunity.

Their team, Slashville Swags, already carries a name that feels like a highlight waiting to happen. There’s an edge to it, a swagger baked into every syllable, the kind of identity that invites fans to lean in before the first snap is even played.

Even with their Tennessee roots, the Winters understand the assignment. Competing in the New Orleans metro area means embracing the culture, the speed, and the grit of a city that lives and breathes football. It’s a proving ground, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.

For the Sochoc league, this move signals growth. For the Winters, it’s a leap into something bigger than retail, bigger than business.

XAVIER CHATMAN IS THE X FACTOR!!

In a league still carving its identity, one name already echoes with authority: Xavier Chatman.

Year two in the Sochoc Football League, and Chatman moves like time forgot to touch him. There’s no veteran drag in his stride, no wear in his routes. He plays with the spark of a rookie who just got handed his first jersey, chasing every snap like it might be his last chance to prove something to the world "said founder of the SocHoc Football League and former professional football player Franklin Thomas Jr".

But don’t let the burst fool you. Beneath that youthful engine is a steady hand. Chatman has become a locker room compass, pointing younger players in the right direction when the game speeds up and the lights get louder. His presence doesn’t just show up on stat sheets, it settles huddles, sharpens practices, and raises the standard across the board.

On the field, he’s a problem in motion. Quick off the line, sharp in and out of breaks, and dangerous in open space, Chatman still flashes the kind of ability that belongs on Sundays. The kind that makes scouts pause, rewind, and take a second look. The kind that whispers one thing: unfinished business.

And the Sochoc league knows it. He had five toucdown cacthes in the first game of the season.

This isn’t just a stop for Chatman, it’s a launchpad. The league has made it clear it will invest, promote, and push its talent, and few embody that mission more than Chatman. He’s not just playing for wins, he’s playing for elevation. Every route, every catch, every rep is a step toward a bigger stage, with the National Football League still firmly within reach.

Some players age out. Others level up.

Right now, Xavier Chatman looks like he’s doing the latter, rewriting what a “veteran” is supposed to look like, one explosive play at a time.

NorthShore Sweeps New Orleans in best of 3 opening season match

Slidell, LA- On a breezy Sunday afternoon in Slidell, the Northshore Carnival Chiefs didn’t just open their season, they kicked the door off its hinges.

At Lester Latino Field on the campus of Pope John Paul II, the Chiefs delivered a statement performance, sweeping the New Orleans Bayou Kings in a best-of-three series that never made it to a third act.

Game one felt like a chess match played at track speed. Every yard was negotiated, every possession felt like it carried playoff weight. The Chiefs edged out a gritty 15–12 win, leaning on discipline and timely execution. When the Bayou Kings threatened, Northshore answered like a team already fluent in pressure.

Then came game two, where the chessboard caught fire.

The Chiefs opened things up offensively, turning tight windows into big plays and momentum into a full sprint. The Bayou Kings fought back with resilience, trading scores and refusing to fade, but Northshore’s tempo proved too much. The Chiefs closed the series with a 26–20 victory, completing the sweep and planting their flag early in the SocHoc season.

Two games, two wins, zero doubt.

If opening day is a message, the Carnival Chiefs sent theirs in bold ink: this is a team built not just to compete, but to control the rhythm of the league. And if Sunday was any indication, the rest of the SocHoc better be ready… because Northshore is already in midseason form.

Noah Varnado

New Orleans,LA

Under the Friday night lights of Jesuit High School in New Orleans, Noah Varnado built his reputation the hard way. In one of the toughest leagues in Louisiana, the Catholic League, Varnado put together a senior season that turned heads and moved chains with purpose, hauling in 65 receptions for 850 yards and 12 touchdowns. Varnado earned All-District, All-Metro and All-State Honors.

Now, that same spark is headed to the SocHoc Football League.

Varnado brings a skill set that feels tailor-made for the fast-paced, high-pressure style of SocHoc. He’s quick off the line, sharp in and out of breaks, and dangerous in open space. On a smaller field where every second counts, his ability to create separation and make plays in tight windows becomes a weapon.

He’s the kind of receiver who doesn’t just run routes, he bends the game in his direction "said

League Founder and former professional football player Franklin Thomas Jr.

As SocHoc continues to build its identity, players like Varnado represent exactly what the league is about: speed, precision, and playmakers who thrive when the game speeds up instead of slowing down.

Keep an eye on Noah Varnado. In a league designed for action, he’s built to deliver it.
